Project narrative

On June 1, 2020, the Chinese city of Nanjing donated 30,000 face masks to the city of Windhoek in Namibia. The ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Namibia, Zhang Yiming, and other senior Chinese embassy personnel officiated at the handover ceremony in Windhoek. This donation was expected to deepen the friendship between the two cities after they became sister cities in 2015.
