On July 10, 2020, the Chinese First Lady, Peng Liyuan, donated 30 sewing machines to Monica Geingob, First Lady of the Republic of Namibia, Monica Geingos' One Economy Foundation. The donation was made in support of women and children in Namibia. The Chinese Embassy in Namibia facilitated the donation, which was intended to support women's employment.
