Description

In March of 2021, the Chinese government donated medical supplies and medicine to the Juba Teaching Hospital in South Sudan. The donated supplies included drugs that are commonly used in various medical departments, a mobile high-frequency X-ray machine, a surgical lifting platform, vehicles, and other medical equipment. These drugs and equipment were jointly purchased by the Chinese National Health Commission and the Health Commission of the Anhui Province. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation at the Juba Teaching Hospital. China’s Ambassador to China, Hua Ning, and the Director of the Juba Teaching Hospital attended the ceremony. This donation is part of China’s larger initiative to support the reconstruction and improvement of the Juba Teaching Hospital.
