Project narrative

On December 15, 2018, the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus, via ambassador Huang Xingyuan, donated EUR 30,000 to Paphos mayor Phedonas Phedonos to cover part of the cost of the construction of the “China Park” in the city. The park is estimated to cost EUR 100,000 in total with the Chinese Embassy also expected to contribute EUR 20,000 to cover the cost for the park's equipment. The rest of the cost is to be covered by the municipality of Paphos. The park is located between Kanigos Street and Macedonia Street in the town centre and was officially opened to the public on September 18, 2019.
