Description

On October 12, 2020, the Chinese Government pledged to donate USD $300,000 to flood victims in South Sudan. The specific distribution of this donation is unknown. The Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan, Hua Ning, announced the donation at a meeting with South Sudan's Foreign Affairs Minister Beatrice Khamisa Wani. The flooding in South Sudan has affected more than 800,000 people, with approximately 368,000 people being displaced. According to various humanitarian agencies, the most affected areas include Jonglei, Unity Easter, and Western Equatoria. This donation follows a previous flood relief donation by the Chinese government in September 2020. The details of that donation are outlined in Project ID#93320.
