Project narrative

On May 10, 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone donated food aid to the Muslim population of Sierra Leone near the conclusion of Ramadan. The ceremony took place at the Chinese Ambassador’s Residence on Spur Road in Freetown. The donation consisted of 6.25 tons of rice, 1,250 liters of cooking oil, 2.5 tons of sugar, and 450 kg of salt. The donation was delivered to the United Council of Imams (UCI) to be distributed to the Muslim population throughout Sierra Leone. The monetary value of the grant is unknown.
