Project narrative

On January 22, 2021, the handover ceremony for the Chinese-aided school supplies project was held at the Presidential Palace of Mali. Ambassador Zhu Liying handed over 76,000 school kits to students in the first and second years of basic education. The kits consisted of backpacks, pencils, pens, and rulers. The school supplies were then distributed to the student representatives present. According to the Mali Minister of Education, the donation is intended to aid with the schooling of thousands of children and will improve the quality of primary education.
