Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On December 9, 2020, the 23rd Chinese medical team in Togo provided anti-epidemic materials to the National Assembly of Togo. The materials included masks, hand sanitizer, disinfectants and a batch of commonly used medicines (anti-malarial, anti-cold, fever reduction, pain relief, various vitamins, etc.). The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation immediately after a meeting between Chao Weidong, the Chinese Ambassador to Togo, and Cai Gang, the Speaker of the Togo National Assembly, on December 9, 2020. At this meeting, the two exchanged views on the development of China-Togo relations. At the ceremony, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and the Director of the Speaker's Office received the medical team's donation on behalf of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
