Description

On August 25, 2020, the Chinese Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Wan Li, on behalf of Mrs. Peng Liyuan, the First Lady of the People's Republic of China, provided a batch of medical equipment to Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, the First Lady of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. The donated materials included 18,000 single use surgical masks and 120 temperature guns. These materials will be distributed to women, children, and adolescents in Côte d'Ivoire as part of the country’s COVID-19 response effort. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony took place for this donation in the meeting room of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Côte d'Ivoire. China’s Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Wan Li, the First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire, Dominique Ouattara, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Director of the Asia-Pacific Department attended the ceremony. A handover certificate was signed at the ceremony.
