Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On July 15, 2022, Ambassador Liu Yantao pledged that China would donate EUR 10,000 to The Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) during a meeting with Arni, the United Nations representative of the Cyprus Committee for Missing Persons (CMP). On August 8, 2022, CMP received the donation of EUR 10,000 from the People’s Republic of China. This, in addition to the EUR 10,000 donation from February 2019 (Record ID#93639), brings the total donations to CMP to EUR 20,000. In 2022, these funds were to support the CMP Project on the Exhumation, Identification and Return of Remains of Missing Persons in Cyprus.
