Project narrative

On July 15, 2020, the Chinese Government donated a batch of anti-epidemic supplies worth at least USD $420,000 to Georgia. The donation included protective clothing, gloves, thermometers, masks, 1,000 PCR tests, and 21,000 rapid antigen tests. The donation shipment weighed 52 tons. This donation was made to assist George in combating COVID-19. A handover ceremony was held for this donation on July 15, 2020. Li Yan, China’s Ambassador to Georgia, Ekaterine Tikaradze, the Georgian Minister of Health, and Alexander Khvtisiashvili, the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, attended the ceremony.
