Project narrative

On April 11, 2020, the second batch of COVID-19 supplies donated by the Embassy of China in Cyprus, Chinese companies and sister cities arrived at Larnaca via a Cypriot chartered flight. These supplies included 20,600 FFP2 masks, 110,000 disposable medical masks, 30,000 non-medical masks and 500 non-medical protective coveralls. On April 13, 2020, the official donation ceremony for these supplies was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nicosia with Ambassador Huang Xingyuan and Cyprus Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides in attendance. At the ceremony, the Chinese Ambassador donated 1,000 of those masks to the Cyprus Foreign Ministry. This donation is in addition to a first batch (Record ID#93648), a donation of 14,000 masks (Record ID#93649), and a third batch (Record ID#93651) in April 2020.
