Project narrative

On April 3, 2020, the city of Guiyang in China's Guizhou province donated medical supplies consisting of protective masks, disposable gloves, and goggles to its sister city of Burnaby in British Columbia. The amount and monetary value of the supplies is unknown. Guiyang also donated supplies to its other sister cities of Palmerston North, New Zealand, County Meath, Ireland, and Vicenza in Italy. Guiyang had received medical supplies from its four sister cities, including Burnaby, during the initial COVID-19 outbreak in mainland China.
