The agreement to set up the Confucius Classroom at Queen Elizabeth High School was signed on November 4, 2009. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Queen Elizabeth High School with a grant. Weifeng No. 1 Middle School was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44130.
