In May 2004, a syndicate of banks — including the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited (ICBC (Asia)) — entered into a $360 million USD syndicated loan agreement with Qantas Airways Limited — Australia's flag carrier airline — to facilitate its acquisition of four new Airbus A-330S aircraft.
