Project narrative

On May 29, 2020, the city of Jiaozuo in China's Henan Province offered to donate medical PPE supplies to its sister city of Thunder Bay in Ontario. The donation was completed by the end of April 2020. The amount and monetary value of the supplies is unknown. The sister-city relationship between Jiaozuo and Thunder Bay officially began on May 26, 2017. In May 2019, Jiaozuo shipped three bronze statues free of charge to Taiji Park in Thunder Bay (add linked project when complete). In February of 2020, the Peng You Taiji Association and the Chinese Canadian Association- organizations in Thunder Bay- raise USD 3,000, which they sent to Jiaozuo for assistance in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
