Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On April 17, 2020, Longyuan and local Chinese communities in South Africa donated cash, food parcels, surgical masks, and other medical supplies worth ZAR 1.2 million to Cape Flats, an impoverished district of Cape Town. The donations were received by Cape Town Executive Mayor Dan Plato at the Chinese Consulate in Cape Town. This investment is part of Longyuan South Africa's goal to contribute ZAR 15 million each year to the community to promote the development of the local economy around its Mulilo De Aar Wind Power Project. Other projects that Longyuan has undertaken include those related to culture, education, medical and health care, skills training, and other public welfare undertakings in the community.
