The Confucius Classroom at Annandale State School was established on April 25, 2011. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Annandale State School with a grant. Annandale State School was previously known as William Ross State High School (维森罗斯州立学校). This Confucius Classroom was established when the school was known as William Ross State High School and the Chinese name of this Confucius Classroom was known as 维森罗斯州立学校孔子课堂.
