Project narrative

On May 27, 2020, Hunchun Municipal Government, located in the Jilin Province of China, provided 50,000 medical-grade masks to the Government of Primorsky Krai in Russia. Primorsky Krai will organize volunteers to distribute these masks to hospitals, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and other social service institutions. These masks will then be used to improve COVID-19 response and prevention efforts in Russia. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation at the Primorsky Krai branch headquarters of the United Party of Russia. Yan Wen, the Consul General in Vladivostok, the First Deputy Secretary of the Primorsky Krai Branch, the Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Agency, and the Chair of the Regional Policy, Legal and International Cooperation Committee of the Primorsky Krai Legislative Assembly attended the ceremony.
