Project narrative

On May 31, 2020, the Government of China donated anti-epidemic supplies to the Government of Jordan. This donation includes 10,000 pieces of medical protective clothing, 60,000 masks, 10,000 pairs of goggles, 10,000 pairs of gloves, 200 forehead thermometers, and 20,000 test kits. The donation was intended to help Jordan fight against the pandemic. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation on May 31, 2020 at the Ministry of Planning of Jordan. Pan Weifang, the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, and Wissam Rabadi, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of Jordan, attended the ceremony and signed the handover certificate on behalf of their respective governments. Omar Shufran, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health of Jordan, and Xiao Wensheng, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, also attended the ceremony.
