Project narrative

On April 19, 2020, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region donated Covid-19 supplies to the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research. The handover of the materials was conducted by the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, and Minister Khalid, the current Minister of Health and Population in Egypt, accepted the donation. The donation consisted of 100,000 medical masks, 15,000 N95 masks, 1,000 items of protective clothing, and 1,200 new coronavirus nucleic acid detection reagents. The purpose of the donation was to help provide COVID-19 relief to students of the Confucius Institutes in Egypt. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
