On July 29, 2020, a handover ceremony was held for the donation of anti-epidemic materials from the Chinese Government to the Assistant Minister of Health and Population of Egypt, Dr. Entissar Amer. Dr. Entissar Amer is the wife of Egyptian President Sisi. The Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) facilitated the handover.
