Project narrative

On May 10, 2020, a handover ceremony was held for the second batch of Covid-19 aid donated to Egypt by the Chinese government. The donation consisted of 10,000 N95 masks, 10,000 sets of protective clothing, and 70,000 nucleic acid testing reagents. In total, the donation weighed about 4.7 tons. The monetary value of the donation is unknown. The Chinese Ambassador to Egypt facilitated the handover of the supplies. The Egyptian Assistant Minister of Health and Population General Wail Say and Mohammad Shoki, Commercial Counselor Han Bing of the Embassy, and Spokesman Counselor Zhao Jixian attended the event.
