Project narrative

On November 12, 2021, Wuhan Easy Diagnosis Biomedicine Co., Ltd, a Chinese national high-tech enterprise, provided 100,000 COVID-19 nucleic acid test kits and sample releaser buffers to Pakistan. In addition to the testing kits, Wuhan Easy Diagnosis offered free technical guidance in using the donated tests. This donation will be used to improve Pakistan’s COVID-19 detection efforts. The monetary value of this donation is an estimated 12.9 million yuan (USD $2 million). A handover ceremony was held for this donation and was specifically organized to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. Moin ul Hauqe, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Li Xikui, the Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Sha Zukang, the Chairman of the China-Pakistan Friendship Association attended the ceremony.
