Project narrative

In August 9th 2020, it was announced that the Chinese Government planned to provide USD 1,000,000 in cash assistance to the government of Lebanon. The funds would go towards supporting those affected by the August 4 Beirut port explosion. The announcement was made by China's special envoy to the Middle East, Ambassador Cai Jun, in a video conference meeting. The purpose of this donation is to help Lebanon recover from the disaster both economically and socially.
