Chinese Embassy donates two sets of Huawei infrared imaging equipment to National Migration Directorate in November 2020 (Linked to Project ID#93422)

On November 18, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Argentina donated two infrared thermal imaging equipment sets to Argentina's National Migration Directorate to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The cameras were manufactured by Huawei. The location at which the Migration Directorate installed the cameras is unknown.

This donation may have been committed on March 17, 2020, as part of a larger donation of supplies to address the COVID-19 pandemic from public and private Chinese organizations to Argentina (umbrella project captured via Project ID#91387). While it is likely Huawei's contribution to this larger donation is captured via Project ID#93422, inconsistencies in reporting around Project ID#93422 leave open the possibility that the donation in November 2020 is also under the umbrella of Project ID#91387. However, insofar as (1) Project ID#91387 is an umbrella and (2) sources indicate this donation came from the Chinese Embassy rather than Huawei itself, there is little risk of double counting.
