Staff comments

1. Much of the key information about this project is taken from photographs of the handover ceremony, including the donors (based on the logos on boxes of donated supplies) and the fact that the materials were in Ecuador (more specifically, the Chinese Embassy in Ecuador) as of March 31, 2020. 2. The estimated value of the entire joint donation is $56,000.00. AidData has estimated this based on price catalogues from the World Health Organization (WHO). Please see the TUFF Methodology for additional details. 3. Because the contribution of each donor to this joint donation is unknown, AidData has implemented the equal contribution assumption. In order to estimate each organization's contribution, AidData divides the total amount of supplies donated by the number of known contributors. In this case, six donors are known. However, CEEC and CGGC logos are both included on the same boxes of supplies. Further, CGGC is a subsidiary of CEEC. As a result, it is assumed that these two companies jointly contributed their portion of the donation, and the total donation has only been split five ways. Thus, the value of CEEC's estimated contribution is calculated as follows: USD 56,000 / 5 = USD 11,200; USD 11,200 / 2 = USD 5600.
