Project narrative

On August 13, 2020, the Chinese Government provided 1,000 BiPAP ventilators to Pakistan. The ventilators were committed-to by the Chinese Government on March 20, 2020 and will be used to improve COVID-19 treatment efforts in Pakistan. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation at the Islamabad International Airport, where the ventilators were delivered. China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing, the Chairman of Pakistan's National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal, and the Minister Counselor of the Embassy, Wang Zhihua, attended the ceremony.
