Project narrative

On June 16, 2020, the Chinese Government donated 68 tons of anti-epidemic materials to the Government of Pakistan. The materials consisted of more than 2 million pieces of N95 masks, disposable medical masks, testing reagents, protective clothing and goggles. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. Yao Jing, China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, and Lieutenant General Afzal, the Chairman of Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. The Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, Wang Zhihua, and personnel from the Pakistan Disaster Management Bureau also attended the ceremony.
