Project narrative

On May 21, 2021, the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) committed to a donation of 1,000,000 USD for emergency humanitarian aid in Palestine. The donation was received by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The purpose of this donation was to combat Covid-19, and to help the injured and homeless. The donation was handed over on June 10th, 2021. Both the Head of the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine and the Palestinian Minister of Finance signed the handover certificate. The ceremony was witnessed by the Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Palestinian President. Chinese and Palestinian media were present to cover the event.
