Description

On June 4, 2020, the Chinese Embassy provided anti-epidemic supplies to the Syrian Ministry of Health. These supplies will be used to improve COVID-19 response efforts in Syria. The donation included medical protective clothing, masks, goggles, and disinfection supplies, although the specific amount and kind donated is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. China’s Ambassador to Syria, Feng Biao, and the Syrian Assistant Minister of Health, Ahmed Khlaifawi, attended the ceremony and signed the handover certificate. The ceremony was held at the Syrian Health Ministry in Damascus. This donation is part of a joint initiative between China and Syria to increase cooperation and diplomacy. The donation was the second in a series of donations of pandemic supplies from China.
