On April 22, 2020, the Tibet Autonomous Region of China donated COVID-19 supplies to Nepal. The supplies included 10,000 N95 masks, 10,000 PPEs, 1,000 infrared thermometers, 2 PCR machines, 2,000 testing kits (including 20,000 VTMs), and 50 boxes of disinfectant wet wipes. This donation was made to improve COVID-19 response efforts in Nepal. The monetary value of this donation is an estimated USD $97,538 (Rs 8 million). The supplies arrived in Nepal from the Tibet Region via the China-Nepal Friendship Bridge at Zhangmu-Tatopani port in Nepal. Then, on April 22, 2020, the supplies were handed over to Roshan Pokharel, a senior expert of Nepal’s Ministry of Health.
