Project narrative

On May 24, 2020, a medical team of 14 Chinese doctors arrived arrived at Dushanbe International Airport to provide pandemic-related advice and experience to doctors in Tajikistan. In particular, the team instructed local critical care doctors on COVID-19 treatment strategies. The team was stationed in Dushanbe for the duration of their campaign. The medical team stayed in Tajikistan for 9 days. Liu Bin, Ambassador to Tajikistan, First Deputy Minister of Health of Tajikistan Umar Zoda, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hussein Zoda, and the Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe, were present at the ceremony. In May 2020, the medical team was presented an award for their service by the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Federation.
