Staff comments
1. The National Chamber of Aquaculture is a non-profit association of individuals and companies in Ecuador's aquaculture sector with the goal of developing said sector. 2. AidData has used the equal contribution assumption to estimate the Chinese Embassy's contribution. That is, the 930,000 surgical gloves and 5,000 N95 masks have been divided by the number of donors (two). Therefore, the Chinese Embassy's estimated contribution to the donation is 465,000 surgical gloves and 2,500 N95 masks. 3. Harvard's Mask Diplomacy dataset estimates the total donation value was USD 28,600 (USD 14,300 for each half). Therefore, the Chinese Embassy's estimated contribution is USD 14,300 using the Harvard Mask Diplomacy dataset's per-unit estimates.
