Project narrative

On May 7, 2020, a handover ceremony was held for a new batch of medical supplies donated by the Chinese government to the Government of Algeria. The supplies, to be used to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, included 5 million surgical masks, 560,000 FFP2 masks, 100,000 diagnostic (test) kits, 15,000 protective goggles, and other supplies. The handover ceremony took place at the Algiers International Airport.
