Project narrative

On August 3, 2020, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan announced that China would be sending 250 specialists to assist in various Chinese-backed construction projects in the country. The projects included a Tajik parliament and government complex in Dushanbe (Record ID#71727, 53786), rehabilitation of roads in Bokhtar (currently Kushoniyon) and Kulob districts (Record ID#72612,71741, #90579, #53990), the project on rehabilitation of the Kulob-Muminobod road and preparations for the second phase of Dushanbe-Kulob-Khorog-Kulma highway rehabilitation project (Record ID#72612, 71741, #90579, #53990), which includes rehabilitation of the Darvoz-Vanj section of the highway. The specialists were expected to arrive in early August.
