In 2011, Sinopec Canada Energy Ltd., under its previous operating name Sinopec Daylight, gifted $400,000 CAD to the Schulich School of Engineering to support the Sinopec Daylight Energy Ltd. Lecture Theatre, according to Sinopec's annual report for the year. The Schulich School of Engineering is part of the University of Calgary.
