Project narrative

In October of 2021, the Chinese government provided emergency food aid to Kyrgyzstan. The aid included flour, white sugar and vegetable oil. This aid was provided at the request of Kyrgyzstan’s government and will help improve food security in Kyrgyzstan. The specific amount of aid and the monetary value of this donation are unknown. A handover ceremony was officially held for this donation on November 4, 2021. Du Dewen, China’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, and Boobek Azhikeev, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Emergency Situations, attended the ceremony and signed the handover certificate.
