Project narrative

On August 27, 2021, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Yyldyz Bakashova, and the Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Du Dewen, reached an agreement at a bilateral meeting that 500,000 doses of the COVID-19 Sinopharm vaccine will be donated to Kyrgyzstan as humanitarian aid and 40,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine through the COVAX program. These vaccines will be used to improve COVID-19 prevention efforts in Kyrgyzstan. The monetary value of this donation is worth 9.7 million USD.
