Project narrative

On April 26, 2020, the Chinese government’s medical expert team in Kyrgyzstan donated anti-epidemic supplies to the Government of Kyrgyzstan. The supplies included 10,000 respirators, 2,000 pieces of protective clothing, 2 pieces of artificial respiration equipment, and various medicines. These supplies will be used to improve COVID-19 response efforts in Kyrgyzstan. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. The Vice President of Kyrgyzstan, Aida Ismailova, met with the medical expert group and received the supplies. The First Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Almaz Kenenbaev, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Sabirzhan Abdikarimov, and China’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Du Dewen, also attended the ceremony. The medical expert team that delivered the supplies on behalf of the Chinese government arrived in Kyrgyzstan on April 20, 2020.
