On April 24, 2020, the Chinese government donated anti-epidemic equipment to the Kyrgyzstan State Border Service (SBS). The equipment included face masks, protective suits, medical glasses, gloves, and non-contact thermometers. These supplies will be distributed among border guard units in Kyrgyzstan to improve their COVID-19 prevention efforts. The monetary value of this donation is an estimated USD $10,000. A handover ceremony was held for this donation at the State Committee for Defense Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. Du Dewen, China’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, attended the ceremony and handed over the medical equipment to the Chairman of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, Ularbek Sharsheyev.
