Project narrative

On June 8, 2020, a team of ten medical professionals sent by the National Health Commission of China arrived in Dhaka, Bangladesh. These professionals were respiratory physicians experienced in treating and handling COVID-19. They visited hospitals, testing centers, and quarantine centers in Dhaka to assist in treating patients and collaborated with Bangladeshi professionals to develop a plan to contain the pandemic. As of June 21, 2020, the team had visited 11 medical institutions, held 41 meetings, held 13 training sessions for 599 trainees (an additional 5,000 people watched online), provided technical guidance for 13 times, and accepted 5 media interviews. They returned to China on June 22, 2020.
