Project narrative

On April 1, 2020, China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) Limited donated 3,000 COVID-19 test kits, 3,000 PPE, and 20,000 surgical masks to Bangladesh for COVID-19 relief. Habibur Rahman Khan, secretary of Bangladesh's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Brigadier General Shafiq, director of Central Medical Stores Depot (CMSD), a health agency of the Bangladeshi Government, accepted the donation. The purpose of the donation was to assist hospitals in Dhaka in combating the spread of COVID-19. China Harbour Engineering Company Limited (CHEC) is a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Ltd.
