Project narrative

On April 24, 2020, the Defense Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka donated 200 coveralls, 198 pairs of goggles, 10 thermometers, 10,000 masks, and 2,500 surgical gloves to the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) to assist its COVID-19 pandemic response. This donation came amidst an outbreak of COVID-19 that infected dozens of SLN personnel at Welisara Base testing positive for COVID19.
