In 2018, CNOOC Petroleum North America ULC, through its alternative operating name CNOOC International, donated at least CAD 1.9 million to charitable organizations throughout Canada. These funds were dispersed to various not-for-profit community organizations for generally unspecified purposes. The specific allocation of funds among these and, presumably, unknown organizations has also generally not been specified.
