Description
On August 18, 2020, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) donated $100,000 to the Pakistani Ministry of National Food Security and Research. The donation goes towards helping fight the desert locust infestation in Pakistan. The donation was received by Federal Minister Syed Fakhar Imam in ceremony in Islamabad that was also attended by Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing. CNPC representatives expressed that they were concerned about the locusts' impact on agriculture and larger food security in Pakistan.
