Project narrative

On June 5, 2021, the Chinese Government delivered 100,000 donated doses of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines and syringes to the Government of Timor-Leste. Timor-Leste's Vice Prime Minister Armanda Berta dos Santos, Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Xiao Jianguo, Representatives of the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to Timor-Leste, and other officials from the Timor-Leste Government attended the vaccine handover ceremony at Dili International airport. The WFP helped transport the vaccines donated throughout Timor-Leste.
