Project narrative

On July 23, 2020, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs donated 12 DJI Agras T16 drones to the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing. At the handover ceremony were Ahmed Farooq, Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy, Ms. Ma Hongtao, Counsel, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, and Yasha Chen, Head of SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd. The drones were to go towards Pakistan's efforts to eradicate desert locusts. The drones were valued at RMB 670,000. This donation is part of a series of efforts made by the Chinese government to help fight a severe locust infestation that affected Pakistan in 2020. See projects #95407 and #95634 for more.
