Project narrative

On November 26, 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Malawi issued an MWK 200 million cash grant to the Lilongwe District Council. The grant proceeds were to be used by the recipient of the funds to support a community development initiative, which is part of the Sonkhwe Irrigation Project. The handover ceremony, which was held on November 26, 2021, took place at Sonkhwe Primary School.
