Description
On February 25, 2021, the Chinese Government delivered 200,000 donated doses of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines to the Government of Mozambique. A handover ceremony was held for the vaccine at Maputo International Airport, and attended by Mozambique's Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, Minister of Health, Armindo Tiago, and Chinese Ambassador Wang Hejun. The vaccines were produced by the Beijing Institute of Biological Products Co. Ltd. In 2021, the Chinese Government donated approximately 1.46 million doses of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines to the Government of Mozambique. A February donation of 200,000 doses is captured by project #95808. A People's Liberation Army donation of vaccines from June is captured in project #95811. An August donation of 200,000 doses is captured in project #95809. A final December donation of 1 million doses is captured in project #95810.
